FAQ

Questions, answered

What is Sarva?

Sarva is a messenger with a built-in miniapp platform. You chat like you would anywhere else — but you can also install apps right into your conversations: order food, run a poll, manage a shop, or use a tool you built yourself.

Is Sarva free?

Yes. Messaging, miniapps, and everything on this site is free to use.

Which platforms does Sarva run on?

The web app works in any modern browser, and there is a native Android app on Google Play. Your chats and profile stay in sync between them.

What are miniapps?

Miniapps are small apps that live inside Sarva. Each one gets its own always-on chat — you interact with it like a contact, and it can show rich interactive cards in messages. They run in a sandbox and can only use the permissions you grant.

Can miniapps read my messages or contacts?

Only what you explicitly allow. Every miniapp declares the permissions it needs (storage, camera, contacts…) and you consent before anything is shared. You can revoke access or uninstall anytime.

Do I need approval to build a miniapp?

No. Anyone can build a miniapp and use it on their own devices instantly — no review, no listing required. Publishing to the public hub is optional and only needed if you want everyone to discover it. See Build.

Where are my chats stored?

Sarva is offline-first: your conversations live on your device first and sync to your other devices in the background. They work even with no network.

How do I delete my account?

Follow the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion removes your account, profiles, and server-side data.
